The Community Transportation Planning team at WSDOT PTD, works hard to ensure that citizens around the state are able to access transportation will minimal barriers. This team has hard conversations with transportation providers about policies that are discriminatory. And they are able to do this because they believe in this work. This isn't a "check the box" exercise for them. They know first hand how policies can be used to discriminate. They are continually learning and updating PTD practices to ensure this work continues.
