Human Trafficking is happening every day across the US, including in the Pacific Northwest. Transit can play a key role in prevention, detection, and disruption of human trafficking. This session will provide basic information about human trafficking, its intersections with public transportation, and share free, industry-specific training resources, including a screening of nonprofit TAT’s training video for the bus industry and an introduction to our newly released human trafficking response protocol template. Attendees will leave with specific best practices and action steps that they can take to improve human trafficking awareness and response procedures within their agencies.
