is the Disability/AFN Integration Manager for the Coalition on Inclusive Emergency Preparedness (CIEP) at the Washington Statewide Independent Living Council (WASILC). CIEP focuses on effective communications, programmatic and physical access, and other functional access needs and issues impacting people with disabilities, including transportation impacts-. Nationally recognized by many other disability advocacy groups, CIEP has forged many partnerships with state agencies, community based nongovernmental organizations in implementing new policies and accessible solutions for people with disabilities before, during, and after disasters. As a subject matter expert, Jim participates in several types of forums and coalitions covering access issues with emergency notifications, captioning, and mobile, text and video telecommunications.
