Natalie Lawrence
leads youth programs for Community Transit, the transit agency that serves Snohomish County. Natalie has been at the agency for over two years and created an in-school program she lovingly calls “Bussin’ Basics,” which teaches middle and high school students how to safely use transit independently. Within the first two years of school programming, Community Transit’s team delivered presentations at 75 schools and community-based organizations, and distributed thousands of Youth ORCA cards. Natalie is especially passionate about youth mobility, inspiring the next generation of transit supporters, and connecting young people with frontline staff. Prior to Community Transit, Natalie worked on youth programs for the American Heart Association, and at PeaceTrees Vietnam, a humanitarian mine action group based in Vietnam. In her free time Natalie enjoys running, watching the Mariners through the ups and downs, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
