Suggested Training
CTANW recommends training in the following areas for nonprofit, for-profit or community transportation operators/drivers providing transportation services to passengers defined by RCW 81.66.010 (3):
- Accident & Incident Reporting
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Confidentiality & Documentation
- CPR/First Aid
- Customer Service (including at minimum: working with aging adults, people with lower income, people with disabilities and people with a mental health diagnosis)
- Defensive Driving Techniques
- Drug & Alcohol Abuse Awareness
- Mandatory Reporting
- Vehicle Evacuation (including Fire Suppression, and Client-First Evacuation Methods)
- Wheelchair & Mobility Device Securement
