We would like to nominate Community in Motion for Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) recognition due to its commitment to providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation that improves health equity for underserved populations in Southwest Washington. As a non-profit, they bridge critical gaps for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income residents in Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Skamania, and Wahkiakum counties. Beyond Medicaid-eligible NEMT, they operate specialized programs like "Reserve-a-Ride" for life-sustaining medical appointments, "Volunteers in Motion" for seniors, and a "North County Shuttle". They focus on removing barriers to care (dialysis, cancer treatments, mental health services) to prevent missed appointments and reduce costly emergency room visits. Their mission emphasizes treating riders with respect, ensuring on-time, safe transportation
