Community Transportation Association of the Northwest is proud to sponsor and host the Northwest Region's Annual Mobility Management & Travel Training Conference. First launched in 2015, the conference is growing to meet the changing needs mobility management and travel training professionals throughout Washington, Oregon and beyond. In its second year, CTANW is proud to partner with the Northwest Travel Trainers to produce this annual event.

CTANW PRESENTS: MOBILITY MANAGEMENT & NW TRAVEL TRAINING SUMMIT 2016 - THE SURE BET FOR SUCCESS!

Community Transportation Association of the Northwest is pleased to partner with the Northwest Travel Trainers to host our 2nd annual conference designed to build, strengthen and inspire mobility management and travel training professionals throughout the Northwest.

This three-day conference will focus on important skills and tools for those working in the field, including an all-new “Travel Training 101” Course for those who are new to the profession. The summit culminates by bringing Mobility Management & Travel Training professionals together with social service agencies, educators and others.
HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT
On Tuesday, March 22nd, sign-in and breakfast buffet begins at 7:30a, and the conference officially kicks off at 8:00a with our first networking session designed to help everyone get acquainted. Following our networking session, participants have the opportunity to choose from a wide array of courses, or to enroll in the full-day Travel Training 101 course. Lunch is provided onsite, and we’ll hear from our first keynote speaker, Michael Hatzenbeler, Executive Director of PROVAIL. Sessions will continue after lunch, and we’ll close off the day with an opening reception, complete with raffle, photo opportunities, and a live band.

On Wednesday, March 23rd, sign-in and breakfast buffet begin at 7:30a, and the day officially kicks off at 8:00a with our second networking session. Sessions will follow breakfast, including a half-day, hands-on session designed to help to build your own Performance Measures and Data Collection tools. Lunch is provided onsite, and features our second keynote speaker, Monica Meyer, Autism Advocate. Sessions continue after lunch, and conclude with a join Conflict Resolution Idea Café designed to encourage participants to share and build skills for handling conflict, advocating for clients, and even educating elected officials and decision-makers. Wednesday’s after-conference activity includes a guided Restaurant and Pub Crawl throughout Tacoma.

On Thursday, March 24th, sign-in and breakfast buffet once again begins at 7:30a, and the day kicks-off with our third and final networking session designed to help promote regional collaborations. Our third day of the conference features joint sessions throughout the day to help build collaborations among travel trainers, mobility managers, social workers, schools, hospitals, and others in the helping fields. Our conference closes with a session designed to help us re-energize our efforts as we move forward in the year ahead.

We’re excited to host several fun features as this year’s summit, including a live band, raffle and fun photo opportunities at our Tuesday night opening reception. Plus, our local conference host, Frances Rankos, with lead us on an “after hours” restaurant and pub crawl through historic Tacoma on Wednesday evening. Throughout the conference, there will be plenty of fun-filled networking opportunities to connect with partners throughout the Northwest.

TRANSIT & ADDITIONAL DIRECTIONS
Driving - Coming from either North or South on I-5, take Exit #137. Follow the signs to Pacific Hwy E. The Hotel & Casino is visible from the freeway.

Transit - The Pierce Transit #500 Federal Way bus has stops at South 14th and 21st and Pacific Avenue traveling to Federal Way. Get off the #500 bus at Pacific Hwy East and 59th Avenue for the Emerald Queen Hotel and Casino. The Conference Facility is separate from the hotel and casino. 
      
Traveling from SeaTac Airport - Sound Transit runs the #574 Express bus from SeaTac Airport to the Tacoma Dome Station located at 505 East 25th Street. The #574 bus departs from the baggage claim level of the airport; at the south end of the facility. There are signs to direct you to the Ground Transportation area. Catch the Sound Transit #574 bus going to Lakewood. Get off the #574 bus at the Tacoma Dome Station. Catch the Pierce Transit #500 bus from Tacoma Dome Station going to Federal Way. Get off the #500 bus at Pacific Hwy East and 59th Avenue by The Emerald Queen Hotel and Casino. There is a short walk, about 1 block, to the main entrance of the Emerald Queen.
